In two years the production will start in the drug industry
Production will start in the next two years in the industrial park of the manufacture of raw materials. Meanwhile, 85 percent infrastructure projects in the project have been completed. But industrial park waste disposal (ETP) construction is not yet started. In the next two years, the production of raw materials will be started by completing ETP, said the concerned people.
Project Director of Medicines Park Abdul Bateet told Khabar that 85 percent of the government work in the project was completed. The work of the road with the government's gas connections and drains from the project area to the river is left. Soon these tasks will be done. He further said Those who have got allotment of plots in the industrial park, they will be able to construct ETP. Still, the construction work has not started. However, hopefully the construction work will start soon and production will begin in industrial park by 2020.
According to the sources, the industrial park is being constructed in 200 acres of land in Bausia Mauza of the upazila on the south side of Dhaka-Chittagong highway, 37 kilometers away from Dhaka to create the raw material of the medicine industry. ECNEC approved in 2008 for implementing this project named Active Pharmaceutical Ingraduate (API) Industrial Park Small and Cottage Industry Corporation (BSCIC). Although the project is meant to be implemented by 2010, failing to do so, the implementing company After the extension of time, extension of the project was extended till the last 2020. The project cost was initially estimated at Tk. The project cost has increased to 331 billion taka due to delayed work due to various complications and due to various complications. Of this, the government will get Tk. 251 crore and CETP and dumping yard for the construction of 80 crore taka medicines. The owners have to give it. Although the construction of the ETP has not yet started. It is mentioned in the IMED report that it is one of the weakest places in the project.
Project Officer BSCIC chairman Mushtaq Hasan Mohammad Iftikhar said that 27 medicines have been allocated plots in the industrial park. He said production will start in the next two years by building citipits, construction of gas connections, and hoping that the work will start soon.
Meanwhile, the concerned people said that Bangladesh is going to import raw materials used in medicine industry. Bangladesh now imports 90 percent of the drug raw materials from India, China and other countries from the world. In medicine, 150-200 types of raw materials are imported. If the production starts in the industrial park, the imported deterioration of the country will decrease. This will reduce the prices of drugs produced in the country.
Currently, about 9 billion taka medicines are being produced in the country's pharmaceutical sector. In this production 97 percent of the domestic demand is exported abroad. If API Industrial Park is set up, it will be possible to provide 70% of the country's demand for raw materials in the pharmaceutical industry.
Mizanur Rahman Sinha, a unit laboratory allocated plot in the industrial park, said the medical parts are very expensive. It is time consuming to import these imports. Apart from this, the expense companies have been set up to set up ETP. We'll start building it.
Senior Chemist Abdullah Al Mamun of Munshiganj Environment Department said that their statusal clearance was given on 23 February 2012. It is also mandatory to put ETP in place and it has been talked to them. We are reviewing this project by visiting and inspecting this project.
Meanwhile, in view of the recommendation of the Bangladesh Medicines Association, BSCIC has allocated 41 plots to 27 industrial establishments. Some people got three plots. Someone got two. The rest of the people got a plot. Square got three Plots Pharmaceuticals and Optonin Pharma Square Pharma has received about 10 acres of land. And the Opsonin received seven acres of land.
